World Science Festival, Light Falls: Space, Time, and an Obsession of Einstein

So I just spent last week binging on all the hardcore geekery of the annual World Science Festival in New York.  It is an overabundance of awe-inspiring moments that amaze while delivering on the important goal of bringing science literacy to a wider audience.  This year’s highlights included a beautiful celebration of the life and work of Dr. Oliver Sacks and a riveting multi-media presentation of how Einstein developed his general theory of relativity.  An especially moving tribute to Einstein’s prescience happened to be a panel discussion by the scientists at LIGO that recently discovered gravitational waves– which Einstein’s theory predicted a hundred years ago.  These and so many other uplifting stories were brought to life– the World Science Festival reveals and revels in the wondrous workings of the universe.
